Animal Kingdom

was the last of the Disney World Theme Parks to open, and opened its doors on April 22nd 1998. It is also the largest of the Disney World parks, being set over an impressive 500 acres of land. The whole ethos of Animal Kingdom is about animal conservation, something they do really well. There are over 1700 animals at the park spanning over 250 different species.

The main attraction of the park is a safari ride on a jeep.
Kilimanjaro safari will take you into the depths of an African Savannah, and let you experience the wonders of wildlife first hand.

At the center of Animal Kingdom is the tree of life. This impressive monument is 145ft tall, and roughly 14 stories high, it's one impressive tree. It is the embodiment of what Disney do well in terms of art, featuring intricate carvings of over 300 animals winding their way up the trunk. It really is something to behold.

Animal Kingdom tickets

Animal Kingdom tickets are sold as bundles with Disney's other theme parks and attractions.
3 Simple questions will lead you to the right tickets type.

Question 3 is a Question of time

  • Normal Disney tickets give you 2 weeks to use them.
  • The first day you use the ticket is day one.
  • On Day 15 the ticket expires/stops working/runs out, even if you have not used
    up all the days that you paid for.
  • NO expiration means you can take your unused days home and bring the ticket back
    at any time in the future and use up those left over days.

So, how many days do you want and do you want them with NO expiration?

If you buy a 4 day ticket you could choose to go to Magic Kingdom 4 times - you don't have to visit the other 3 theme parks if you don't want to.
